Correspondence includes letters from customers, family relatives, and political associates in Ottawa, and telegrams. Deeds contain the date, description of property, amount, and names of those involved in the transaction. Financial documents include two cash books, a ledger, and insurance renewal for George H. Connell and Charles Connell. Descriptions of property name the location, acreage, and names of owners.

This fonds consists of documents and certificates relating to Thomas Hall. They include records of his membership in the Saint John Mechanics Institute, 1862-1866; his freeman's certificate, 1863; a letter giving him right of passage as a British subject through the United States in 1865; and a deed for a cemetery plot, issued in Thomas Hall's name in 1867 with a register of internments on the reverse. There is an original title of ownership to a pew in Brussels Street Baptist Church, purchased in 1848 by Zebedee Ring and transferred Thomas H. Hall.

Material related to court cases overseen by Charlotte County Justice of the Peace Peter M. Abbot. The different types of material include applications for insurance with some related financial documents attached, letters detailing complaints which have been brought before the Justice of the Peace, court proceedings with attached court summons and correspondence related to the cases attached, and a petition to the Legislature. Most of the material is related to debt cases in the Small Claims Court and includes affidavits, executions of debt, summons, and proceedings. Bills, account statements, receipts, and notes related to the debt cases are also often attached.
