"Borden's Condensed Milk Co." Leather Booklet

A leather booklet with "Borden's Condensed Milk Co." written on the cover. Inside is written "Best Wishes, Yours Sincerely, W. M. H. Dunn". It was used as a notebook and contains lists of items and their total prices. No dates are present in the notes, but the back of the book has a calendar dated to 1910.

Black Booklet

A black booklet which contains lists of expenses for food, taxes, wood, and farm equipment and labor. The notes related to farm labor mention a place called "Sussex Vale". It also contains notes on goods that were sold from "Sussex Vale". Likely used by a farmer.

Notes on medical tests and treatments from lectures given by Clarke, Bacon, Stoner, Biglow, and Jackson, from 1858-1859. Location and identity of notetaker unknown. 1 booklet, brown leather cover. Among the topics included are: tests for diabetics; gonorrhea or clapp; delirium; hernias; bella donna; disease of the chest; pregnancy and newborn care; conjuctivitis; stimulants; sedations; disease of the spine; venereal disease; and cholera.

This file consists of bills, invoices, receipts, account statements, bank drafts, and correspondence regarding the purchase and sale of general goods including: boots, shoes, and rubber; cotton; linen; paper; lumber; groceries such as biscuits and ship’s bread, dairy products, chocolates and sweets, tea, spices, `eggs, flour, sugar, and produce; wholesale grocers; wool; oil; silks, rugs, and mattings; drugs and chemicals, boots, shoes, and rubbers; grass, flower, and vegetable seed; fertilizer; stationary; grain and feed; hay, straw, kitchen appliances and furnishings; furnaces; home furnishings; farrier services; and hardware; gaslight; dues for the Methodist Church, and taxes for the Town of St Stephen, Parish of St David, and the Parish of Dufferin. 1896-1909.
