This collection contains items related to the history of the Pennfield Air Station in the Second World War (WWII). The collection includes articles published in the New Brunswick Historical Society's November 2006 newsletter.

This collection contains books which were published monthly titled “Notices to Mariners for Foreign-Going Ships Monthly Summary”. These were publications meant to inform sailors voyaging to foreign ports from London about important recent developments in the world of navigation, such as changes happening at foreign ports, potential hazards, and new navigation charts and books which have been published.

This fonds consists of receipt forms from the New Brunswick Railway Company's Woodstock station. This fonds contains material related to the history of Ministers Island. It includes a transcription of an interview with Wade Veinotte, who used to work on the island, as well as reports, feasibility studies, and development plans related to proposals to turn Ministers Island into a Provincial Park or other cultural resource, essays on the history of the island or the Van Horne family, photocopies of historic publications on the Van Horne family property and Sir William Van Horne, a booklet for an exhibition of paintings by Cathy Ross of artifacts belonging to the Van Horne family on Ministers Island, and transcriptions of original legal documents and correspondence related to the first European occupants of Ministers Island, John Hanson and his family.

Many of the documents in this collection are related to the operation of George McKenzie's tidal mill and other business ventures in Mascarene, including business correspondences, legal affairs, shipping operations, orders, bills, and receipts. More personal correspondences involving the family matters of Hector and Julia McKenzie are also included.

It was registered at the port of Halifax in January, 1941, James Ratchford and George Humphray, owners. Registerd at St. Andrews, July 1841 to Frederick A. Babcock, Thomas Turner, Robert Walton and Harris Hatch, John Rodgers, Harris Anderson Hatch, Daniel Smith Morrison (Gentlemen) , Richard Milton Andrews (Barrister at Law), John Stephen Jarvis, (sail maker), Henry ONeill and James Healy (Butchers), George McCullouch (Merchant), John Irwin (Pedler), James Clarke (Pilot), Samuel Getty and Charles Williams (grocers). Samuel McCurdy (School Master), James Burgess (Carpenter). Registry changed to Cork, 1847. It covers voyages to the West Indies and Liverpool.(March 10 1842 - May 11 1843.)

This 28-page logbook for the brigantine "L. W. Eaton" records 4 voyages, 1 completed in 1875 and 3 completed in 1879, namely: New York, New York, to Halifax, Nova Scotia, April 1875; Chatham, New Brunswick, to St. John's, Newfoundland, June 1879; St. Johns, NF, to Chatham, NB, June 1879; and Chatham, NB, to St-Pierre and Miquelon, July 1879. The log records the daily notes for each voyage which make reference to bearing, weather, and distance sailed.

This fond contains documents relating to Joseph Sutton Clark, Owner of a sardine plant in L’Etang Charlotte County NB. Documents include: correspondence relating to the development of L’Etang Harbor, financial records, and personal correspondence.

This fonds consists of James Albert Read's master mariner's certificate which was issued by the Canadian Minister of Marine and Fisheries in 1872.

Fonds contains Canadian Pacific Railway lantern slides. Numbered 2-169 (with gaps), the slides comprise scenes along the CPR from Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, to Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
