This fonds documents the activities of the York County (NB) Constituency Council of the CCF between 14 July 1944 and 13 September 1947. It includes a record book containing minutes of meetings, accounts of payments and expenditures, and pledges and donations for the Campaign Fund. There is also a file of miscellaneous CCF-related items that includes notices and agendas of meetings for the York County Constituency Council, financial statements, a letter from the Upper Hainesville CCF Club with an attached list of officers' and members' names, financial statements, and newspaper clippings. There is also a four-page leaflet, published by the federal Progressive Conservative Party, entitled "Let the record speak".

This collection comprises mostly original material, documenting the activities of Maritime temperance societies during the nineteenth century, in particular the Sons of Temperance Newcastle Division (#45). This fonds contains diaries and letters written by Catherine, Margaret and Jessie Loggie, the daughters of Alexander and Catherine Loggie. The writers express concerns about young women embarking on a career in teaching and comment upon a ten day's trip to the interior of Norway as well as a voyage from Rimouski (Quebec) to Calcutta via Liverpool.

"Beginners please; my life in amateur theatre"; by Bert Williams

This is a photocopy of a bound volume of Bert William's "Beginners Please My Life in Amateur Theatre". The work discusses his early life, including growing up in a working-class neighbourhood of Bolton, Lancashire, England; attending school; and working at various occupations while a young boy -- in a factory, in a cotton mill, and for several cinemas. He also comments on his early years in amateur theatre, the Workers' Educational Society, the First World War (Great War), the Second World War, and his work in adult theatre, both in England and in Canada, as a director, actor, and stage hand . The volume also includes photocopies of newspaper clippings, correspondence, and theatre programmes.

The 88 page photocopied journal of Violet Goldsmith documents her life from 1900-1906, including the years she spent at the Fredericton Normal School and UNB.

She records university events and social activities and makes many references to her friend Mary Matilda (Tillie) Winslow. She also comments upon her personal life and her experiences as a school teacher.

Haney (Heine) genealogy

This collection contains a single volume which was prepared by WIlliam Colbourne Heine and outlines the Haney (Heine) genealogy over eight generations.

It includes a brief description of the life of John Haney (Heine) as well as brief accounts of the lives of some of his descendants.

This fonds contains 123 watercolours of NB wildflowers painted by Elizabeth Beckwith Hazen. Most are dated between 1867 and 1873.

The watercolours that are stored in Box 1 (1 - 52) are loose, and mostly undated. The watercolours in Box 3 (53 - 121) are part of a book New Brunswick Wild Flowers and are loose, with some dates. Many of the watercolours were matted for exhibits. The mattes have since been removed and are stored in Box 2.
