This series comprises 32 cartes-de-visite and one tintype, all portraits. Twelve are commercial cartes-de-visite depicting well-known figures, many of them Confederate generals. Other portraits are stamped as coming from studios in the United States and Glasgow, with two identified as made by a Fredericton studio and one, a portrait of a Mr. Robert Grant, hand-captioned “St. George.” Most of the non-commercial portraits are unidentified.
