This fonds contains an account book for John Edgecombe's carriage business, 1855-1871, as well as accounts for Miller & Edgecombe Staple and Fancy Dry Goods, 1871-1877.

The items in this collection relate primarily to the Hampton, Kings County area of New Brunswick. The collection contains: 2 tickets issued to members of the Society of the People Called Methodists in September and December 1855; newspaper clippings, dated 20 December 1901, about Hampton, N.B.; letter from New Brunswick Department of Lands, dated 3 January 1923, containing information about early land grants near Hampton; a list of voters for the parish of Hampton, dated 1900; and 2 photographs, one each of a family group and rural scene.

This fonds documents the history of the MacDonald family over several generations.

It includes a diary kept by Janet MacDonald, seven volumes of MacDonald family genealogy and a few documents related to the activities of William Lewis MacDonald.

These three volumes of warehouse accounts record goods remaining with the warehouse and goods housed. They list the date, name of importer, name and port of vessel, value of cargo, number of packages, type of goods, and quantity of goods.

This fonds contains 123 watercolours of NB wildflowers painted by Elizabeth Beckwith Hazen. Most are dated between 1867 and 1873.

The watercolours that are stored in Box 1 (1 - 52) are loose, and mostly undated. The watercolours in Box 3 (53 - 121) are part of a book New Brunswick Wild Flowers and are loose, with some dates. Many of the watercolours were matted for exhibits. The mattes have since been removed and are stored in Box 2.

This fonds documents the personal, professional, and reform activities of Henry Harvey Stuart. In particular, it highlights his involvement and interest in socialism, unionism, politics, education, religion, temperance, and labour.

The fonds contains correspondence, 1869, 1895-1955; letterbooks, speeches, copies of published articles, education records, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, genealogical materials, and scattered issues of newspapers and periodicals (many on socialist, labour and Christian themes).

There is also a description of Benton and Benton graded school with a list of pupils with their age and birth date. Also includes minutes of Newcastle Methodist Men's Union, Newcastle Town Improvement League, and Fredericton Junction Discussion group as well as two addresses by Stuart "World Federation or More World Wars?", 1943, and "The Church and Post-War Reconstruction", 1943; several speeches including those to Northumberland County People's Union and to Fredericton workmen; and a record of "the doings" of the Branch Bible Society of Waterborough.

This fonds contains largely original material documenting E. Tappan Adney's long involvement in the affairs of native people in New Brunswick, particularly the Maliseet. It includes information about treaty rights, New Brunswick court cases involving native rights, the historical development of reserves, and the 1947 review of the Indian Act.

This fonds contains correspondence, newspaper clippings, reports, briefs, submissions, notes, and copies of published articles, treaties, speeches, proclamations, and "deeds". It also includes several photos, prints, sketches, and watercolours. Some materials are typescripts.

There is also a microfilmed copy of Adney's diary covering his first trip to New Brunswick (30 June 1887 to 28 February 1889) as well as his diary covering his second trip to New Brunswick and first trip to Nova Scotia (July to November 1890).

This fonds documents the personal and political activities of Sir George Eulas Foster. It includes travel diaries, weekly diaries, notebooks of political speeches, thought books (temperance, crime, religion, Canadian history), a few pieces of correspondence, lecture notes (League of Nations), speeches, manuscripts on historical subjects, and published articles on historical and political themes.

This fonds contains 11 typescript chapters of Dr. Frederick McGrand's book, "Backwards glances at Sunbury and Queens" along with his notes.
