This collection contains articles published in the St. Croix Courier which were part of a series written by F.E. McConvey titled “In-Laws, Outlaws, and Kinfolk”. This series of articles was dedicated to genealogical research into the families of Charlotte County, New Brunswick. Articles could provide advice to readers on how to conduct genealogical research for themselves, but could also contain the results of other people’s genealogical research and the stories of how that information was found.

The fonds contains correspondence, legal and miscellaneous papers including a photocopy of a share certificate of the St Andrews Steamboat Wharf Company. Covering the period 1824-1875

This collection contains a yearbook from 1953 for Horton Academy, a co-ed residential high school located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. This school was founded in 1828 by members of Nova Scotia’s Baptist community, and became a high school in 1926 following the closure of the Acadia Ladies Seminary. The high school was ultimately closed in 1959 as it was deemed too costly to maintain.

WWII ration books belonging to Fred Hooper, Perry Hooper and Myrtle Hooper of Back Bay.

Textural material, photographs and negatives, ephemera, and small objects relating to the Hooper family and St. Andrews Seniors Club. The photos are of various people, places, scenery, and events from Charlotte County and of the last century. Most textural material is newspaper and newspaper clippings of various importance such as obituaries to a local report on the Hooper lives to poems dedicated to living and resting members of their family. Ephemera is not necessarily connected intellectually to the Hooper family, but rather can be related due to the material being enclosed with other supporting material. Other textual material can include documentation and biographies of members of the family and their accomplishments and passing.

These fonds contain an account book related to the business endeavors of Henry Styles, who operated a Grist Mill along the Digdeguash River.

Papers consists of the day-to-day activities Harris Hatch was experiencing through correspondence and receipts. Majority of the papers from the correspondence series comes from business related letters to and from clients from various areas in and around Charlotte County. While the Receipted Bills series consists primarily of personal expenses for his home (now the Ross Memorial Museum (188 Montague St., St. Andrews, NB)) and family members.

This collection consists of a Crown land grant (1818) given to Harris Hatch for property on the Digedeguash River. Wax seal attached.
