Dr. George Boardman Noyes

This fonds consists of two medical journals--one containing records kept during his medical practice (14 April 1884 - 29 May 1892), the other recording daily transactions (1 October 1887 - 1 April 1892), a scrapbook containing photographs, loose photographs, and glass negatives. It also contains a biography file containing photocopies of newspaper stories and photos of Dr. George Noyes, and a handmade scrapbook by his son Benjamin L. Noyes entitled "Historical & Scenic Volume, Grand Manan Island, Charlotte County, N.B."

Ernest Joy letters

This fonds contains a binder of original letters from Ernest Joy to Robert Cunningham with newspaper clippings, diary excerpts, and meteorological reports from Kent Island. There is also one photograph of Ernest Joy with his housekeeper and companion, Carrie.

This collection contains the record books kept in operating the businesses and correspondence related to the business of smoking herring and marine repairs. There is a sectional Aeronautical chart of Boston (V-10), n.d.; blueprints of the barge "Minca" built for the Ministry of War, 1944; a Lee Wilcox poem; newspaper clipping about the replica of the schooner "Bluenose"; work orders for the annual refit of the patrol boat "Gull Light," 1970.

The fonds consists of historical and biographical notes and manuscripts, correspondence, and printed material. The notes focus on the early history and settlers in Westmorland and Albert counties. There are biographical notes of the first English speaking settlers in Salisbury parish, including the Babcock, Beck, Blakeney, Eagles, Chapman, and other families.

Humphreys' correspondence with W. F. Ganong, 1927-1928, and 1929-1936, primarily discusses nomenclature of places in New Brunswick, mostly Westmorland and Albert Counties. There is an unpublished manuscript of ""History of the Petitcodiac"" by J.E. Humphreys which includes an index of major topics. A copy of an unfinished manuscript titled, "The History of Albert County" by W.C. Milner is included along with the author's notes. This work was published by the New Brunswick Museum in 1989.

There are also some publications written by W.F. Ganong, 1900-1928, dealing with the nomenclature of places and the origins of the boundaries of New Brunswick.

Cette collection comprend trois films (CF14) tournés par Lévi Poirier en 1948 et 1951 à Grande-Digue et Richibouctou-Village, (Nouveau-Brunswick), de même qu'en Floride. Les personnes concernées sont de la parenté de Lévi Poirier. On aperçoit aussi des fermes, de même que les villages de Grande-Digue, Richibouctou-Village et de Cap-Lumière (N.-B.).

Cette collection touche au village de Cocagne (Nouveau-Brunswick) au début du XXe siècle. La plupart des personnes sont identifiées dans les photos. De plus, la collection comprend des photos de l'oncle de François Daigle, Aimé Léger qui faisait partie du corps d'aviation de la R.A.F. et qui est décédé accidentellement lors d'un vol d'entraînement en Angleterre, le 11 septembre 1917. Outre Aimé Léger lui-même, la collection contient des photos de son avion avant et après l'accident.
