Blacksmith Account Book

A faded account book, which contains newspaper clippings on veterinary advice for horses, while the rest of the book contains lists of names and expenses. Most of these expenses are for shoeing horses and repairing equipment. Likely used by a blacksmith.

Black Booklet

A black booklet which contains lists of expenses for food, taxes, wood, and farm equipment and labor. The notes related to farm labor mention a place called "Sussex Vale". It also contains notes on goods that were sold from "Sussex Vale". Likely used by a farmer.

"Borden's Condensed Milk Co." Leather Booklet

A leather booklet with "Borden's Condensed Milk Co." written on the cover. Inside is written "Best Wishes, Yours Sincerely, W. M. H. Dunn". It was used as a notebook and contains lists of items and their total prices. No dates are present in the notes, but the back of the book has a calendar dated to 1910.

This collection contains documents belonging to Reverend Charles M. Smith of Rollingdam, New Brunswick, including both documents related to his research projects into local history as well as his duties as a Reverend. Documents related to these duties include marriage records for marriages performed by Charles Smith, and his notes and drafts for eulogies that were done at funeral services. Documents related to Charles Smith’s research projects include hand drawn and printed maps and drawings, published material and primary documents used by Charles Smith to support his research, and notes on church history, roadwork and early travel, local history, Charlotte County schools, and genealogical data. Also included are St. Croix Courier articles and essays written by Charles Smith, as well as the drafts for those items, and his correspondences, which include letters containing information related to his research and more personal letters.

A copy of the account book of Henry Styles, who operated several mills in the Rollingdam area during the mid-1830s and 1850s. Contains financial information and notes for Henry Styles’ business endeavors such as orders, notes on organizing his time and men, and expenses. Also included are an inventory of Henry Styles’ estate, research notes into Charlotte County’s mills by Harry Martin, as well as newspaper articles on the histories of a few of the mills mentioned in this book.

Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline Collection

This collection contains documents related to a pipeline project by the Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline, which would bring natural gas from Sable Island to the Saint John region, as well as the Charlotte County region through a lateral addition that would extend south of Lake Utopia. Contains newspaper articles on the project, as well as articles by Mike Whalen representing the Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline and answering questions. Also included are announcements of open houses and informational documents, pamphlets, and booklets. These informational documents discuss both the Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline Project itself, as well as pipelines and natural gas in general.
