The fonds consists of typescripts of addresses and lectures, including a series of lectures on astronomy for the general public, correspondence, handwritten essays, genealogical notes, and photographs. The correspondence includes letters relating to the establishment of the observatory in Fredericton, and the determination of Fredericton's longitude. Genealogy includes birth dates of Jack family members and Disbrow family history. Photographs include Caroline Disbrow Jack, William Brydone Jack, a group photo that is possibly of staff of UNB or King's College (no date), and a University of New Brunswick building.

This fonds consists of an account book of personal and family expenses, 1847-1885, belonging to Dr. William Brydone Jack. There are also photostatic copies of a letter from Dr. Jack to Benjamin R. Stevenson, Surveyor General of New Brunswick concerning measurement of the meridian line through Fredericton, 14 October 1874. There is also a copy of a certificate of appreciation from the University of New Brunswick on his retirement in 1885.

This fonds contains personal correspondence between William Brydone Jack and his wives, Marian Ellen Peters and Caroline Disbrowe. In letters to Marian Jack mentions his astronomical work with Drs. J.B. Toldervy and James Robb. Also included are newspaper clippings and a sketchbook belonging to Blanche Jack, Dr. William Brydone Jack's daughter.
