This item is an unframed painted canvas stretched around a wooden back frame. The wood has "Rosenthal" written on it. The painting shows a flower garden with a fountain and monument and arch in the center and two pillars on either side of the path leading to the center of the garden.

This object is an enlarged sepia photo of the northern shoreline on Grand Manan Island, NB. The image shows a man standing on a point of land and a dory on the rocks near him. He is standing at the base of the rock formation called "Seven Days Work". In the background, you can see "Ashburton Head" and "Buttermilk Rock".

"Southern Head Cliffs" on Grand Manan Island, NB

This object is an enlarged sepia photo of the southern shoreline of Grand Manan Island, NB. The image shows a man standing on top of the 300+ foot cliff. From the angle of the photo, the photographer would have been half way down the cliff on the next peninsula. There is a beach at the bottom of the cliffs with the edge of the water being foamy from crashing on the rocks. Printed in the bottom left corner of the photo is "Copyrighted 1889, H.G. Peabody, Boston".

"Still Life" by Wesley Griffin

This painting is oil on canvas. It is rectangular and has a varnished finish. The paint is severely cracked all over and some of the paint has chipped off to the canvas. The painting is slack in the frame and needs to be re-stretched. The painting shows an apple and peach on a white plate set in front of a teapot. The colors are dark. It has a pine stretcher with the canvas tacked on. The frame is plain wood with plaster smoothed over it and a mottled brown outer finish. Written on the reverse is : Painting by the Late Wesley Griffin given to Gladys Smith 20 years before 1971"

This item is a framed color print titled :The Altar of Pythian Knighthood". It shows an archway with a man at a podium looking out to a mountain. Above the archway are many flags. There are different images inset around the archway. The frame is a heavy dark wood varnished, plain flat boards - nothing fancy.

Walter B McLaughlin solar photograph

This black and white solar photograph is a portrait of Walter B. McLaughlin(1829-1906) as a middle aged man with short trimmed hair and a handle bar mustache. He is wearing a light colored suit jacket and a stripped tie. The solar print has been enhanced with charcoal or pencil to sharpen the image. The frame is very elaborate and made of many layers of frames. The matting has water damage but the image does not appear to be damaged.
