Biographical history
Clarence Alvin Friars was born in 1923. He enlisted at the No. 7 District Depot, Saint John, NB, on 9 November 1942 for service with the Canadian Service Active Force. His number was G51346. He was a private and went overseas in 1943. He was qualified as a clerk and served with the A-30 CITC Corps for 27 months. He served in England, Italy, and North-West Europe. After the war, Clarence would return to Sussex NB, he was discharged on 8 January 1946.
