A pair of essays on the history of Ministers Island. These include an essay titled "Minister's Island, Charlotte County, N.B." by Carol-Ann Nicholson, Chief of Research, Research and Development, Historical Resources Administration. This essay examines the history of human habitation on the island from 500 B.C. in the Aceramic period to the period of national expansion and development when the Van Horne family owned the island. It also features a description of the main Van Horne family residence on the island.

The other essay is titled "History of Ministers Island - or - 3000 Years of a Unique Portion of Canadian History - or - The Island of Delight".
