Item is a framed photograph of Joseph Read's (Read Stone Co.) 'Glenburn' home in Barrowfeild, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia.

This Bible was published in Philadelphia in 1872 and was acquired by the Howes, possibly after the death of their son William Alexander in 1873. It contains genealogical information on members of the Howe, Boyd, and Sansom families, specifically dates of births, deaths, and marriages. The first entry was dated 1862, and the last, 1965.

Calvin Lyons, William's son (b. 1927) in front. Sportsmen Alfred Weimann and a Mr. Barnes are on the far left and second from the right. Calvin Lyon's son, Brian, would be given the middle name of "Weimann" after the man shown in the photo.

This collection contains articles published in the St. Croix Courier which were part of a series written by F.E. McConvey titled “In-Laws, Outlaws, and Kinfolk”. This series of articles was dedicated to genealogical research into the families of Charlotte County, New Brunswick. Articles could provide advice to readers on how to conduct genealogical research for themselves, but could also contain the results of other people’s genealogical research and the stories of how that information was found.
