History

Frederick Maine Cochrane (1873-1938) was born at St. Martins, Saint John County, New Brunswick, the son of James Robert Cochrane and Mary Louise Davis. Sometime in the 1930s he wrote 2 papers about the local history of New Brunswick. One dealt with shipbuilding in Saint Martins and the other with the whaling industry in Saint John. He died at Saint Martins in 1938.
