History

Clarence Joseph Clarke, the son of Adelia Jane Morrissey and William Daniel Clarke was born 7 October 1909 at Flume Ridge, Charlotte County, New Brunswick. On 23 August 1939 he married Estelle Josephine Dinsmore in Devon Parish, York County, New Brunswick. Initially, he worked as a lumberman in the mill inherited from his father. Later he moved to St. Stephen where he worked as a traveller for Ganong’s Candy Company. In 1968 he was living in Barker’s Point (now part of the city of Fredericton) where he had a siding business. Clarence J. Clarke died in 1986 and was buried in St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Fredericton.
