Biographical history
Charlotte Miriam Ginson (nee Christie) was born on 11 January 1915 to Anthony and E. Lillian Christie of Thompson Corner, York County, New Brunswick. She received a public school education and, in 1932, was accepted into the Provincial Normal School in Fredericton. She graduated in 1933, with a second class teacher's license.
Miriam Ginson began her teaching career at South Tweedside, York County, where she taught for one school term. She taught at Smithfield for the 1934-1935 school year. The following year found Miriam Ginson teaching at McMinn in Charlotte County. In the fall of 1937, Ginson started work at a factory where she was employed until Easter 1939, when she was offered a teaching position in Carroll Ridge. From 1941-1942, Ginson was employed by the Brockway School and in 1942-1943, she was teaching in York Mills.
Miriam married Claude Ginson in 1942. She continued teaching until she and Claude moved to Hartland in 1945. Claude and Miriam Ginson had been married for 57 years when Miriam died in 1999.

Fonds consists mainly of documents related to Charlotte Miriam Ginson's education and early career as a school teacher. There are certificates including birth, marriage, church, and music; Ginson's entrance marks into the Provincial Normal School; her teacher's license, dated 1933; and an autograph album, dated 1908 kept to her mother, E. Lillian Christie, during her attendance at the Provincial Normal School.
