2 scrapbooks, clippings etc. of general rather than local interest. A book of agricultural reports was used for one scrapbook and the other used an 1874 report of schools in the province. Many of the items were clipped from papers that were published before Mr. Coakley was born. Dan Coakley (1875-1966) lived for a time at 'Lilac Cottage' where he was a neighbour and friend of the Stuart family.

Charlotte County Byroad documents

The series comprises documents relating to byroad appropriations and expenditures for the parishes of St. Andrews, West Iles, Campobello and Grand Manan; an agreement for allocation by local MLAs; and a printed list of funds allotted.

Maps and plans

The series comprises 12 maps depicting regions within Charlotte County, many of them marked with lot borders and the names of owners. Areas depicted include the Digdeguash River, Beaver Harbour, Mill Lake, Brandy Cove, and the Passamaquoddy Bay. The series includes both original survey maps from the 1830s and 40s, several by William Mahood, and later maps traced from the surveys.

Grand Manan Light and Power Company

This collection consists of technical books, papers, and manuscripts documenting the history of the electrification of Grand Manan. The ledger documents the installation of wires to individual locations and then maintenance at that location. The ledger used was a telegraph ledger but the entries are all for 'Electrical Works'. The ledger was used from Oct. 1929 to 31 Jan. 1930. Also included is an NB Power Museum Kit, acquired in 1990, which contains a history of the electrification of the Province of New Brunswick. There is also an NB Power calendar for 1994.
