The fonds has not yet been arranged and described. It includes records of Ganong Brothers Limited, White Candy Company, Corona Company and Home Paper Box Company. There are record books from 1892 to 1946 (and possibly earlier) including minutes, year-end accounts and by-laws. There are bound ledgers and other loose records which include Board of Directors' meetings, payroll information, financial records, annual reports and sales analysis. There are also patents, licences and property deeds. A diary (1874-1878) belonging to Gilbert White Ganong, gives details of the early business. Advertising and publicity material is also included.

This fonds consists of a 1917-1942 Dunbar Engine and Foundry Company business ledger containing names of Carleton County businesses, the type of service and goods provided to these businesses, date, amount charged, and note of payment received.

Fonds consists of financial documents and some correspondence belonging to McKeen's Drug Store. Financial materials include cheque stubs, 1938-1960, statements, and account books, dated 1912-1969. Account books include payroll and accounts payable information. Correspondence, dated 1955-1968, consists of prescription information and prescription inquiries from customers. There are medical forms naming Carleton County physicians ordering prescriptions for patients and including name of patient, medicine, special directions, and in a few cases, the type of ailment.

This fonds consists of receipt forms from the New Brunswick Railway Company's Woodstock station. They list goods such as hay and tea, shipped by local businessmen and companies to locations outside of Woodstock. Shippers included: R.M. Bailey; H. Paxton Baird; James Boyd; Connell Brothers; W.F. Dibblee and Son; C.H. Ferguson; P. Gillen; H.A. Haer; A. Henderson; Johnson and Co.; G.R. Ketchum; R.B. Manzer; Fred Moore; D. Phillips; J.T. Raymond and Co.; Small and Fisher and Co.; Union Foundry Co.; Charles VanWart; Woodstock Woodworking Co.; and F.A. Wyman.

This fonds consists of staff registers listing engineers and firemen employed by the Canadian Pacific Railway Company; letter books containing CPR staff appointments; a payroll book including the salaries received by Carleton County residents; timetables; staff bulletins containing news about company operations; and publications of "The Spanner," a magazine published by the CPR, issues dating from 1848-1864 .

This fonds consists of a minute book and business papers. The minute book contains the Charter of the company and the by-laws, as well as information about the operation of the company and the directors of W. Hawker & Sons, including that son Samuel was managing the firm by 1920 and William C. planned to return to the United States to resume his drugstore business in 1920. Business papers include a stock transfer, a trust agreement, certified copy of company by-laws dated 1926 as well as a brief historical sketch of the company from its founding to the reorganization in 1926. There are also three deeds, 1926, which relate to William C. Hawker and his share of the business.

This fonds consists of the financial and other business records of the store including correpspondence, ledgers, journals, account books and records of stock. Also included are Bytown Telegraph Co., articles of association, 1851 (this company was in account with Emmerson and Hodgson), post office records of John T. Hodgson; Victoria Co. Agricultural Society treasurer's book, 1863-1865; and Edmunston Park Driving Association minutes of meetings and list of shareholders (1893).

The fonds consists of daybooks, account books and a ledger. The daybooks give details of their work such as items produced, the names of customers, charges, and materials used. They include repairs. There is also information on caskets and funerals, with names and dates. Account books include a list of funerals from 1867-1885 with names and ages of deceased. The ledger has a separate index. "The Cabinetmakers Assistant" published by Blackies in Glasgow, Scotland in 1853, containing furniture designs, is also included.
