Azor Wentworth Davis was born 5 March 1862 and worked for the Brown Paper Box Co. in Saint John, New Brunswick. On 23 June 1886, Davis married Florence Nightingale Simonson [b. 22 March 1860, d. 5 December 1948]. In 1918, Davis took full control of the Sackville Paper Box Factory with his two sons George Wentworth Emmerson Davis [b. 13 November 1892, d. 8 February 1977] and Ernest Daley Davis [b. 5 November 1896, d. 13 February 1979]. During this time, Azor Davis designed a berry box that was patented in 1937. After his death on 10 November 1944, G. W. Emmerson Davis ran the factory until his retirement in the 1960s.
