Biographical history
Annie Parkin was born 15 April 1922, Escombe County Durham, England. Her family moved to Canada in 1926. They arrived at Mount Hebron, King's County New Brunswick. They moved to Sussex in c. 1943. She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (Woman's division) February 1943. She proceeded to basic training at Rockcliffe, Ontario before being posted to Hagersville Ontario. She became ill and died in the Christie Street Military Hospital. 16 members of the CWAC paraded from Camp Sussex to her funeral, held at Wallace Funeral Parlor.

Scope and content
This series consists of two letters written by Annie to her friend Dorthy. Also included is a newspaper clipping of her death. Her photograph is located in subseries 04.
