Biographical history

Anita Lagacé, a longtime resident of Victoria County, New Brunswick, had a keen interest in local history. In the 1960s and 1970s, she researched and wrote a thematic history of each parish of Victoria County. The history of the town of Grand Falls figures prominently in this study and in her previous work, "How Grand Falls Grew" which appeared in print in 1945. Anita Lagacé died in 1979

Custodial history

The author's sister donated this manuscript to the Grand Falls Museum, probably in 1979.

This fonds consists of a draft, typewritten copy of Anita Lagacé's "History of Victoria County."
