Lloyd David Bowen was born 28 March 1921. Lloyd joined the 8th Canadian Hussars in 1941. He served overseas during World War 2 . Regimental number B62332. Lloyd received the 1939-1945 star, Italy , France and Germany star. He also received the Canadian volunteer metal, defense and war metal.

LCol Beveridge was the Commanding Officer of the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise’s) regular force regiment from 1971-1973. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Association of the 8th Canadian Hussars (PL) Inc which was the first step in securing and protecting both artefacts and archival materials from the more than 150 year of history of the regiment in New Brunswick. LCol Beveridge also coordinated the successful application which saw HRH The Princess Anne appointed as the Colonel Commandant of the 8th Hussars, a position she still maintains today. Later in his career he was awarded the title of Honorary Colonel of the Regiments. He currently resides in Ontario and continues to be active with the Association and Regimental Council.

Ronald Clyde Taylor was born 6 April 1934, in the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. He attended the Lutheran Church. He enlisted with the Canadian Forces 28 May 1951. He rose through the ranks being promoted from Warrant Officer to Sergeant in 1972. He served with the Atlantic Sports Association, playing and integral role in the Service Woman's Sports competition. Also, he assisted the 8th Canadian Hussars Militia.

Corporal Aldran Irvine Stewart enlisted with the Canadian Active Service Force 5 June 1944 at the No. 7 District Depot, Fredericton New Brunswick. He was given the regimental number G5811. At the time of enlistment he was living in Penobsquis, King' County, NB. Aldran was born in Westmorland County. Prior to joining up he worked as a farmer. he was Married to Dorthy Stewart. Aldran set out from Camp Sussex and disembarked in the United Kingdom 15 May 1945, where he was taken on strength by the 1 Canadian Signals Unit. Stewart was discharged 13 December 1946, to return to civilian life. He reenlisted with the 8th New Brunswick Hussars 15 October 1952. At that time he was living in Sussex Corner, NB. He was qualified as a driver in 1954. He served as an administrative clerk until 1956. during that time he was awarded his first and second service chevron.

Horace Robinson Macaulay joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941. he went on to serve as a radar technician in England with the Royal Air Force telecommunications Flying Unit, during World war II. Margaret served during the war with the ciphers with the Royal Signals Corps. She met Horace and they were married in 1943. They returned to Canada in 1946.

Annie Parkin was born 15 April 1922, Escombe County Durham, England. Her family moved to Canada in 1926. They arrived at Mount Hebron, King's County New Brunswick. They moved to Sussex in c. 1943. She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (Woman's division) February 1943. She proceeded to basic training at Rockcliffe, Ontario before being posted to Hagersville Ontario. She became ill and died in the Christie Street Military Hospital. 16 members of the CWAC paraded from Camp Sussex to her funeral, held at Wallace Funeral Parlor.

Ernest Charles Vincent was born in Fairvale, King's County, New Brunswick 6 May 1897. He lived on Saint Andrew Street, Saint John. He enlisted with the Canadian Expeditionary Force 20 January 1916, he was 19 years of age. Prior to enlistment he had worked as a clerk. He was in the 115th Battalion. Ernest embarked from Halifax, Nova Scotia, 23 July 1916 on the SS Olympic. He was promoted to Corporal 21 January 1916. He was further promoted to Sergeant 8 July 1916. He received his final promotion to Lieutenant 25th March 1917. He was discharged in 1918 and returned to Canada.

Norman Lawrence trained as a boxer under Hugh Paris before joining the armed forces. He was the army's best middle weight boxer between 1958-1960, winning four championships. Paddy was inducted into the Pictou County Sports Hall of Fame, Nova Scotia 26 September 2009.

Captain (retired) Doug Sussey was an active member of the Tobique 594 Royal Air Cadets, serving with the organization for five years. He was honoured by the Cadets at their 11th Annual Parade Celebrations. He ensured that new challenges were open to the cadets, including marksmanship team and biathlon.

"Donald Frost MacGowan,
a descendant of United Empire Loyalists William and Sarah Frost, was born in Hampton. In 1960, Don was one of seventeen persons residing in the Kings County region who responded to a recommendation of the New Brunswick Historical Society that a new local historical society be formed for and in such region for the purpose of vigorously obtaining and preserving objects and information of historical value. The unincorporated society with those seventeen persons who, each having paid the one-dollar membership fee, commenced holding meetings with Lieutenant Colonel Otty Corbett as president, Don MacGowan as vice president and Grace Aiton as secretary. The society was later incorporated under the name “Kings County Historical and Archival Society Inc”.
Don has always been active in a variety of sports and community endeavours. Following high school, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Allison University in 1955, honouring in history. At Mount Allison he was very active in student affairs and was selected to be the valedictorian for his graduating class.
Following his Mount “A” graduation he was awarded a Beaverbrook Scholarship in law at the University of New Brunswick Law School. Don received his law degree in 1958 and was admitted to the New Brunswick Bar in the same year. He practiced law for 54 years out of offices first in Sussex and later in Saint John. Don was awarded a Queens Counsel designation in 1987 and a life membership in the New Brunswick Bar in 2008.
In 1954 Don earned his military commission in the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps. Later he served as the Adjutant in the 8th Canadian Hussars.
Don served as the New Brunswick Consul for the Kingdom of Norway for a period of 28 Years. In his early career, Don participated in various community charitable endeavours, particularly the Canadian Cancer Society.
