Bob Ross - Lieutenant Colonel George Robert Hay (Bob) Ross .Bob Ross joined the 8th Princess Louise Hussars 1927 in Sussex. Captain Ross Signed for overseas service with the regiment 13 July 1940. A/officer Commanding A Squadron 8th Princess Louise's New Brunswick Hussars 1941 Sussex. He was Promoted to Major in Camp Aldershot England Dec 1941 and Appointed Regimental Second in Command in Aldershot Feb 1942. He Continued as Regimental 2 IC during Service in Italy and Holland 1943-1945. COMMAND "ROSS FORCE" at Nijmegan Island Holland 1945. Bob was Commanding Officer of 8th Princess Louise's New Brunswick Hussars (Militia) 1947-51 at Sussex New Brunswick. Bob loved the regiment with a passion so much so it is said he was the Embodiment of the regiment spirit. One of the Best Commanding officers ever know.

Scott, L/Cpl Medly Garthfield

G779 Medley Garfield Scott was born in Port Elgin New Brunswick November 13, 1917. Medley enlisted on September 15, 1944, at the time of enlistment he was a  labourer. On enlistment in Sackville his rank of appointment was Trooper. He embarked overseas with the 8th New Brunswick Hussars. He attended a training courses and served in Canada , United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean and Continental Europe.  At this time he was a driver mechanic of a tank. Medley served fifty two months in Canada, United Kingdom, Italy and Northwest Europe. He was overseas forty seven months. He was appointed Lance Corporal February 21 1945. Medley was quite business like and during slack times he fully occupied his time by working at fishing and wood work. It was felt by his superiors that his future was secure. Medley received the 1939-1945 War Medal, Italy , France, and Germany star, and Canadian Volunteer service medal. Medley married Margaret Scott August 12 1935. He returned to civilian life and his farm October 29th 1945 in Fredericton.

Seely, James Spencer

James Spencer Seely known to his friends as Penny was born August 25th,1920 and died March 17th 2003. Seely was a trained truck driver and Seely's qualifications in Canadian Active Army was Trade of Driver Mechanic "C" and was employed at his trade with the Carlton and York Regiment for approx. 19 months. On August 10th 1945 Seely was given permission to wear the War Service Badge "General Service Badge" number 204639. James Seely was discharged August 10th 1945 in Fredericton.

Sixth Canadian Mounted Rifles

The 6th Regiment, Canadian Mounted Rifles, CEF, was a mounted infantry unit of the Canadian Expeditionary Force in the First World War. It was formed on March 15, 1915 at Amherst, Nova Scotia . It recruited in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. It sailed to England in July, 1915, and after training arrived in France on October 22, 1915. It served in the field as infantry until December, 1915.

On January 1, 1916, the six regiments of Canadian Mounted Rifles were converted to infantry and reorganized into the four battalions of the 8th Canadian Infantry Brigade . The personnel of the 6th Regiment were absorbed into the 4th and 5th Battalions, CMR.

The 6th Regiment was perpetuated by the King's Canadian Hussars, which was converted to an artillery unit in 1939..

Kenneth Sparks Born Dec. 17th 1917 Beaver Harbor New Brunswick. he attended Vocational School in Saint John (ENGLISH) For a short period from 1937 to 1940 Kenneth occupation included Being a Brass Inspector and Sealer. Kenneth Enrolled 21 July 1940 with the 4th Canadian Motor Cycle Regiment (8th Princess (NB) Hussars. he received a discharge 21 Sept. 1945 at the age of 27 . He rejoined 14 July 1947 and served until February 1969. Kenneth Married Doreen Edna Elizabeth Brown Born Sept. 19, 1923 in England . His Mother Gertrude Eloise 12 Nov. 1895 Father William Hayward 13 Nov. 1889 Brothers George, Melbourne and Arthur and one Sister Eloise . During His career he lived in Saint John, Kingston, Canning and Halifax Nova Scotia. Kenneth received 1939-1945 Star, Italy Star, And France and Germany Star .Defense Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and clasp. War Medal 1939-45. Korea Medal, United Nations Emergency Force Medal , Canadian Forces Medal and Decoration and Clasp .Peace Keeping Duties in the Middle East. RCEME Rafah 1960-1961 Korea Oct. 30, 1952- 2 Nov. 1953 Doreen Kenneth's WIfe arrived in Halifax by Ship (ACQUITANTA) April 1946 Kenneth Attended Victoria St Baptist Church Saint John 1932-1962 Members if Canadian Legion Branch 62 Saint John N>B> 1945-1950 Kenneth Died Doreen his War Bride Wife died 2013 in 1991

Trooper Stevens was the Son of Frank and Elizabeth Stevens. He lived in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada prior to joining the Regiment. He died on September 9th, 1944 at the age of 26.
Trooper Charles Thomas Stevens (G/191) is buried in the Ancona War Cemetery, Italy. Section I, Row G, Grave Stone 12
