Robert Phillip Dann was born 7 July 1917 in Kingston. Robert Dann decided his calling would be the Church. As such, he attended the Wycliffe College in Toronto in 1937. He was posted to the parish of Eldon for several months in 1938-1939. He went on to a pastorship at Trinity Church, Saint John. By 1960 Dann was offered the position at St. Paul's.

2nd Lieutenant John Edwin Dixon Canadian Postal Corps the Canadian Army October 6th 1941 .During operations in NW Europe Major Dixon has performed his duties as DADPS in a highly efficient manner, By frequent personal contents , constant attention to important details and a persistent endeavor to eliminate all unnecessary procedure he has ensured the smooth and rapid flow of mail to the fans of this corps. By example , he has succeeded in installing , in all personnel under his direction , his own high sense of responsibility and integrity. he realizes the importance of his service to the morale of the troops and has been tireless in his efforts to ensure that all personnel and methods employed in the distribution of mail produce the maximum efficiency.

Doucette, Joseph Eloi

Joseph Eloi Doucette was born in Bathurst New Brunswick on September 18,1918 to Pricilla and Amos Doucette. He had 4 four sisters and five brothers and the family attended the Catholic Church. When he became older, Eloi gradually worked his way west by farming and logging eventually returning to New Brunswick after an absence of four years. Eloi had brown eyes and dark brown hair, weighted 160 pounds and stood at five feet 7 inches tall. He had a scar on his left arm and mole on the left side of his back. On August 2, 1949 Eloi enlisted at Sussex N.B.. He was assigned the number G337 and became trooper in the 4th Canadian Motorcycle Regiment in Sussex. The following year he disembarked in England on October 20, 1941 after eleven day voyage across the Atlantic. He was determined to serve his Country and had a desire to become a news commentator after the war. Eloi was sent to Italy in November to serve as a trooper with the 8th Princess Louise's New Brunswick Hussars R.C.A.C., 5th Armoured Regiment. Unfortunately , he was to die in Italy on September 4, 1944. John Wentworth a Soldier with Eloi when he was killed later wrote a poem about him entitled "To The Duke." Trooper Joseph Eloi Doucette was awarded the 1939-45 Star, Italy Star, Defense Metal, War Metal 1939-1945, and Canadian Volunteer Service Metal and Clasp. Joseph Eloi Doucette is buried in Gradara War Cemetery in Italy , Plot 1 Row F , Grave 1

Dunn, Hunter

Hunter Dunn joined up in 1939 at age 21. He spent the Second World War in the Fifth Canadian Armoured Brigade as a tank officer with the New Brunswick Hussars. He published a book in 2005 titled "Memoirs of a World War II Armoured Officer?" In it he tells stories about his tank hitting a tree in Camp Borden in 1941, carrying out a real ?misfire drill? with General McNaughton in his tank in England in 1942, taking part in the battle of Besanigo Ridge and the rescue of the foal that became the Regimental Mascot in Italy in 1944. His post-war career in civil engineering was with Domtar and then the National Research Council. In 1981, Mr. Dunn joined the army officers? mess and became involved with the Canadian War Museum, helping the museum give tours of the big armoured equipment at Vimy House. In May 2009, Hunter Dunn was pictured on the front page of "The Torch", a Canadian War Museum publication. He currently resides in Ottawa

Ellis, H. R. S. (Tim)

Harold Robertson Scarff (Tim) Ellis was born April 18, 1916 He joined the Regiment in 1940 and served during the entire Second World War. In July 1941, Tim Ellis came to Camp Sussex. He went overseas with the Regiment and in Italy he moved up to A/Major and took over Headquarters Squadron. Before the battle at Coriano he was posted to B Squadron. During a series of actions during the battle of Coriano Ridge, this officer?s brilliant handling of his squadron, his boldness, skill and initiative at all times earned him the Distinguished Service Order on September 14, 1944.. Tim was Honorary Lt.-Col of the Regiment from 1992-1995. Tim Ellis died May 10,2011
