Trooper Ralf Morris Chapman (G793) traveled overseas to England where he trained for a couple of courses wireless and AFW fitters course. Trooper Chapman was the son of Percy and Gertrude M. Chapman ; he lived in Mt. Middleton Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada prior to joining the Regiment . He died September 13th 1944 at the age of 24.
"Trooper Ralph Morris Chapman from Mt. Middleton, New Brunswick. Ralph served with B Squadron, 8th Princess Louise's (New Brunswick) Hussars during WWII and passed away as a result of combat wounds on 13 September 1944. He fought and died at Coriano Ridge, Italy. Ralph's brother Harold also served with the same unit and currently resides in Peticodiac, NB."

Irvine Throne Coates was born in 1894 and served in World War One with the 104th Battalion. Irvine served in Canada, England, and France. He joined in April 1916 and was discharged in August 1919. Irvine was wounded twice and suffered from shell shock. He fought at the battle of Vimy Ridge. Irvine also served in World War Two with the Veterans Home Guard of Canada from January 1942 to December 13, 1943. Irvine died in 1980.

Doug and Sheila Coates donated a significant volume of material to the Museum. This material covers 1939-1945, consisting primarily of scrapbooks and newspaper clippings.

Raymond Colley donated a photograph to the 8th Hussars Museum in 2017.

Lt.Col O. L. Corbett
"Otty Corbett was born Dec.13 1913 at Dunns Corner, Queens County. He married the former Marjorie Gamblin and they had two daughters and a son. He taught school from 1932-1940 and then entered the Canadian Army, serving the next six years in Canada, the United Kingdom, and northwest Europe.
While in the service he was stationed at base units and training camps in Canada, with the Carleton & York Regiment in England, the Fifth Canadian Infantry Brigade in England and the North Shore (N.B.)Regiment from 1944-1946 of which he was company commander and second-in-command of the battalion. He received his 2 Lieutenancy 18 November 1940.
He was the recipient of many honors and awards in a distinguished army career, and in the service of his community, including the MBE, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (Serving Brother), Canadian Forces Decoration and two bars, C.D., 1939-45 Star, France Germany Star, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, Defense Medal, Victory Medal, and the Silver Acorn from the Boy Scouts of Canada.
His militia service included: N.B. Rangers 1940-41; N.B. Scottish Regiment 1946-48; the Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise) Militia 1950-1965 as commanding officer for eight years; retired from active militia service in 1965; honourary Lt.-Col 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise's) Militia for two terms.
He was named the Sussex and District chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year in 1980. He died March 10 1981"

Ernest A. Cotton was the recreational director for Camp Sussex during World War II. He provided the men at the Camp with a series of activities to keep them occupied between training. Some of these activities include; events conducted by the YMCA, entertainment materials, etc. Camp Sussex was the largest military base in Atlantic Canada. He went on to marry a Sussex native, Helen Aiton.

Corporal Atkinson was the Son of Fred and Lilia Atkinson. He lived in West Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada prior to joining the Regiment. He died on May 5th, 1945 at the age of 25.

William Florence Crowley was born in Saint John, NB on February 8th 1892 to mother Francis Crowley, He was a labourer.He signed up with the Canadian Army in 1914.

Robert Cullen is a local historian in Ontario, Canada. He had an opportunity to view some archival footage from CBC. In that archive, he found footage from Camp Sussex during the Second World War. Robert graciously donated a copy of that footage to the 8th Hussars Museum in 2019.
