William Florence Crowley was born in Saint John, NB on February 8th 1892 to mother Francis Crowley, He was a labourer.He signed up with the Canadian Army in 1914.

Burnett, William Wilson

HCapt Padre William Burnett served as the regimental padre to the 5th Armoured Regiment (8th Princess Louise's New Brunswick Hussars), during most of the Second World War. On 1 September 1944, Captain Burnett was leading a burial party in a Honey tank during action near the Foglia River. He provided whatever assistance he could to the wounded, all the while working under heavy enemy shelling. He was burying the dead when a shell struck his tank. Padre Burnett refused medical treatment, despite having shrapnel lodged in his abdominal cavity and having half his hand blown off, until his men were taken care off. For his devotion to the well-being of his troops, he was awarded the Military Cross.

William Lewis was born 05 February, 1924. He enlisted at the age of 19 and served with the 8th New Brunswick Hussars until 1946. He served with the Regiment in Italy and North West Europe. After the work he worked as a janitor at the North Sidney Post Office.

Burgess, Robert Leslie

Burgess was born in Saint John on March 7th, 1924. Burgess went to school on the West Side of Saint John, New Brunswick. He joined the army at age 16, and served overseas 4th Canadian Motorcycle Regiment, and then the 8th New Brunswick Hussars. After the war he married Isabel McCarthy in 1948. He worked at Frank Fales and Sons and purchased it in 1971, acting as owner until he sold it in 1988. He died on September 12th, 2013.

Cullen, Robert

Robert Cullen is a local historian in Ontario, Canada. He had an opportunity to view some archival footage from CBC. In that archive, he found footage from Camp Sussex during the Second World War. Robert graciously donated a copy of that footage to the 8th Hussars Museum in 2019.

Bickerton, Mary Frances

Mrs. Mary Bickerton was born on November 14, 1926 in London, England, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Florence (Hazell) Deegan. She came to Canada as a war bride in 1946. Her husband was Sergeant Gordie Bickerton, a member of the 5th Armoured Regiment (8th Princess Louise's New Brunswick Hussars). She served for 16 years postwar in the Canadian Army Militia. She was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, a past President of the Sussex Branch # 20 as well as the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise's) Association. Mary served as a director for King's Manor and the Kiwanis Nursing Home. She was a member of the Trinity Anglican Church Choir.

Graham, Margaret (Dunn)

Margaret Graham, wife of the late Kit Graham, was an active participant in the Association of 8th Canadian Hussars. She is a generous donor to the Association. In 2008, Margaret donated one of her paintings to be sold at an auction for her school reunion, the Class of 1958.

McDonald, John Allen

John Allen MacDonald served with the 8th New Brunswick Hussars during the Second World War and returned to visit the Netherlands in the 1990s.

Robinson, Gordon Allen

Gordon Allen Robinson was born 06 September, 1923 in Toronto, Ontario. He enlisted on 18 March, 1943, and served with the 8th New Brunswick Hussars in the Italian campaign. He was wounded on 06 October, 1944, while camouflaging his tank. He subsequently died of his injuries a day later.
